Sexual & Reproductive Health

Access to sexual and reproductive health (SRH) care is both a right and a critical need, yet in crisis situations—when vulnerabilities are drastically increased—lack of sexual and reproductive health care is a leading cause of death, disease, and disability among displaced women and girls of reproductive age.

The Minimum Initial Services Package (MISP) for Sexual and Reproductive Health in Crises provides the bare minimum for emergency response—and even this is not consistently implemented. Sexual and reproductive health services for all displaced women, men, and adolescents must extend beyond the MISP as a crisis stabilizes.
